The Bocconi University project – headed by SANAA’s two Japanese starchitects, Kazuyo Sejima and Ryue Nishizawa – occupies the former Centrale del Latte (milk depot) area on via Sarfatti, Milan. The resulting modern university campus, so seamlessly integrated into the urban fabric, is a valuable addition to the university’s existing historic campuses. Lualdi’s contribution to the project includes 156 Rasomuro doors (conventional and curved), 76 sliding doors and 19 integrated Wall & Door systems for the classrooms in the basement. All the products were made to measure and carefully designed to meet the architectural and design needs of the buildings in which they are now installed. The most unique feature are the curved surfaces of the Rasomuro doors, which follow the lines of the architectural modules which make up the entire complex.
