Founded in New York City in 2013, the mission of the CIMA (Center for Italian Modern Art) foundation is to promote and disseminate knowledge and the study of modern and contemporary Italian art internationally, with particular focus on the United States. In a spacious loft in Soho, every academic year the gallery curates a show by an artist deemed representative of Italian modern art whose work is rarely exhibited in the States.
