One of the greatest protagonists of post-World War II architecture and interior design, the life of Luigi Caccia Dominioni is inextricably linked to his home city, Milan. In the place where he grew up, the architect developed a sober, modern language which was – at the same time – ideal for weaving a dialogue between the city’s age-old constructions and the new forms and iconic materials of modernism. His partnership with the Lualdi family coincides with the creation of the LCD 62 model, the first example of industrial design applied to doors.
